INTRODUCTION ABOUT MEMBERS OF VALOMA

With the aim of bringing together individuals and organizations who share the same goal of developing Vietnam’s logistics industry, the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA) has gradually built up a nationwide membership network and brought activities to bring the world together. Value and create connections for members of the Association.

  1. Membership overview:

In 2017, within the framework of the Vietnam Logistics Forum (VLF) held in Hanoi, 16 training institutions across the country participated in the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding for training cooperation in the field of logistics. The Vietnam Logistics Training Network with the aim of promoting linkages between logistics training institutions; standardize, improve the quality of training, research and technology transfer in logistics, increase connectivity with businesses and practice.

On April 30, 2020, the Minister of Home Affairs issued Decision No. 568/QD-BNV allowing the establishment of the Vietnam Logistics Human Resource Development Association (on the basis of the Vietnam Logistics Training Network), writing: VALOMA (Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development) for short. At the time of establishment, VALOMA attracted 89 members, including 70 individual members, 2 business members and 17 members who are logistics education and training institutions.

2021 is a tumultuous year due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, causing certain difficulties in implementing the Association’s activities. However, in 2021, the number of members has increased significantly compared to 2020, from 89 members to 209 members, with 147 individual members, 34 corporate members and 28 trainee members.

By the end of 2022, the Association has added 62 new members, bringing the total number of members of the Association to 351 members, including 252 individual members (accounting for 71.79%), 50 associations. Enterprise members (14.25%) and 49 members are training institutions (13.96%). This has clearly demonstrated the influence and spread of the Association across the country.

By the end of June 2023, the Association has added 40 new members, bringing the total number of members of the Association to 391 members, including 282 individual members (accounting for 72.12%). 56 Enterprise members (accounting for 14.32%) and 53 members are training institutions (13.55%). This has clearly demonstrated the influence and spread of the Association across the country.

If considered by geographical area, VALOMA members are distributed in all 3 regions of the country. In the North, the current number of members is 183, accounting for 46.8% of the total number of members; including 134 individual members, 26 corporate members and 23 training institution members. The number of members in the South is 181, accounting for 46.29%; in which there are 126 individual members, 30 corporate members and 25 trainee members. Currently, the number of members in the Central region is still relatively small, stopping at 27 members, accounting for 6.91% with 22 individual members, 5 members are training institutions and no corporate members. But this number will certainly increase rapidly in the near future along with the strong development of the logistics industry in particular and the Vietnamese economy in general.
