At an online meeting with the Southern Special Working Group of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on August 30, Head of Research Department – the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA) proposed a model of bringing small businesses and people’s markets together. on the e-commerce platform (e-commerce).
When this model is implemented, small traders in the local market will be supported by e-commerce platforms to put their products on the market and promote their products to both regular and potential customers.

In particular, based on this new sales channel, small businesses can expand business opportunities to millions of users on the Clam So e-commerce platform. Even in cases where local markets are not operating due to the impact of the epidemic, small businesses can still maintain normal business activities, contributing to ensuring life security.
“Thus, the introduction of small businesses to e-commerce platforms will turn this place into “online people’s markets”, a new source of supply for the “household shopping” service that e-commerce platforms are implementing. nationwide” – Ms. Cao Cam Linh emphasized.
In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade in the provinces can work with the E-commerce Platform to purchase all essential food products to supply to Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces affected by Covid-19.
“To implement this model effectively, through the Special Working Group, the Research Board proposed that exchanges be connected to the local Department of Industry and Trade to know the prices, output, and quantity of agricultural products of the provinces. At the same time, we hope that the Departments of Industry and Trade of the provinces will support the introduction of goods and intra-provincial and inter-provincial sales” – Ms. Cao Cam Linh proposed.
In addition, the issue of bringing agricultural products from the southern provinces to the Clam So e-commerce platform is also of concern.
Also at the meeting, Mr. Tran Trung Kien – Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Long province said that Vinh Long needs to consume 27,000 tons of purple sweet potatoes. In addition, the province has many other agricultural products so it will participate in providing these products. Input products for the welfare bags that sponsors are implementing to support farmers. Regarding product prices and output, the province will continue to update the e-commerce floor.
The representative of Dong Thap province also said that the province still has a number of agricultural products that are having a very large harvest but slow consumption such as taro… Therefore, Dong Thap hopes that bringing agricultural products to the e-commerce platform will help farmers. People in the province have stable output.
