VALOMA VISITED THE SLS LOGISTICS CENTER, NHAT TIN LOGISTICS CENTER AND SELEX MOTORS FACTORY

On August 26, 2023, the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA) organized a visit to two logistics centres in the Hung Yen province of SLS Vietnam Investment and Development Co., Ltd and Nhat Tin Logistics Company. In addition, the VALOMA delegation also visited the Selex Motors Factory of Selex Smart Electric Vehicles Joint Stock Company in Gia Lam (Hanoi). The purpose of the trip is to connect, and promote understanding and cooperation between training institutions and businesses, and between businesses and businesses in the field of logistics and supply chain management.

Members of the delegation included representatives from several units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (including the Import-Export Department, Industry and Trade Information Center, and Industry and Trade Magazine), lecturers and students from 11 university and college training institutions and 12 member and non-member enterprises of VALOMA led by Mr Tran Thanh Hai (Deputy Director of Import-Export Department, Honorary President of VALOMA).

The first visit of the delegation to SLS Vietnam Investment and Development Co., Ltd. Here, the delegation was directly welcomed, introduced and guided by the company’s leaders to visit the SLS Logistics Center.

SLS Logistics logistics centre has a large floor area of up to 16,200 m2, although it has just been put into operation, it is now half full. Floors with loads up to 6 tons/m2 and a height from 11 to 14m, this logistics centre ensures safe and convenient storage of goods and can meet all the needs of goods storage. The Seamlock system’s heat-resistant tole roof and 32 import and export doors are fully equipped with dock levellers, making loading and unloading goods easy and fast.

In addition, with a yard area of nearly 10,000 m2, an automatic fire protection system, a logistics centre to ensure convenient receipt and pick-up, and safe storage of goods. SLS logistics centre has a very convenient location, located in Yen My district, Hung Yen province, 35 km from Hanoi centre and 78 km from Hai Phong port, easily connecting with neighbouring industrial parks.

Leaving the SLS Logistics Center, the VALOMA delegation continued to visit the largest logistics centre in the North of Nhat Tin Logistics – Van Giang cargo handling centre (Van Giang warehouse centre) with an area of up to 20,000 m². Featuring a prime location at Km6, National Highway 379 (Tan Tien Commune, Van Giang District, Hung Yen Province), the Van Giang Warehouse Center allows connecting the North-South axis more conveniently and easily between provinces such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh,…

With a strategic vision, Van Giang Warehouse Center is well-invested with modern equipment and is one of the two largest exploitation centres in the country of Nhat Tin Logistics. The CCTV system with 300 surveillance cameras inside and outside the warehouse allows to ensure quick follow-up of goods handling and, fire protection system following the standards and regulations of the State.

Van Giang warehouse centre was built with a total of over 100 import and export gates and the ability to receive more than 100 different means of transport at the same time, of which 16 doors are for container trucks from 27 to 30 tons and 15-ton truck; the remaining doors are for trucks of 8 tons or less. In addition, 8 modern Forklift and EPT electric vehicles are always available in the warehouse to carry out the task of loading and unloading goods, rotating to pre-directed locations and loading trucks to go to the above provinces. country. Not only speeding up goods handling time, the use of electric vehicles contributes to effective environmental protection, does not cause loud noise, and provides a greener and cleaner working environment.

In the afternoon of the same day, the VALOMA delegation continued to visit Selex Motors Factory of Selex Smart Electric Vehicles Joint Stock Company in Gia Lam (Hanoi). Selex Motors was established in 2018 with the aspiration to promote the sustainable development of Vietnam and the world through smart electric vehicles, bringing renewable energy into transportation.

From the very beginning, the company has focused on building a comprehensive ecosystem for smart electric motorbikes to promote the development of this type of vehicle in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Through the ecosystem, the company wants to radically solve the problems of today’s electric vehicles. It is the inconvenience of recharging and the high cost. At the same time, it brings users new experiences and values ​​through mining data from the ecosystem and applying the latest technologies such as IoT, AI, and big data. The company’s vision is that every citizen can easily own an electric motorbike and enjoy positive values ​​from smart and sustainable transportation.
