On June 17, 2023, the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA) held a Seminar “The Press and logistics human resource development” to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2023) and create opportunities to exchange information, strengthen cooperation and coordination between press agencies and the Association. The seminar was attended by representatives of leaders, journalists, reporters, editors of 25 media agencies and authorities, as well as heads and deputy heads of professional departments of VALOMA. The talk was organized by the VALOMA Communication Department.
The press plays an important role, making great contributions to the reform and socio-economic development of the country. The press agencies are now developing in the direction of multimedia with multi-dimensional, objective perspectives, which reflect quickly and honestly all aspects of social life. Particularly in the logistics field, the press has become one of the useful information channels to help raise society’s awareness of the important role and position of logistics in the national economy, as well as the process of international economic integration of the country. At the same time, the press also helps logistics businesses access faster and more effectively with strategies, policies, and legal regulations related to logistics. In which, there are many policies issued by authorities at all levels but not suitable with the practical context, causing difficulties for logistics enterprises, which have also been promptly criticized by the press agencies. Additionally, press agencies are also a bridge reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the logistics business community, logistics human resource training institutions to the Government, the National Assembly and other agencies to create favorable conditions for logistics enterprises in the process of doing business and improving the business environment of logistics services in Vietnam.
Recognizing the importance of journalism in the new era, the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development Association organized a seminar “The Press and logistics human resource development” with the desire to exchange and cooperate with more media agencies in order to form press and communication works that are more specialized, pervasive and contribute more actively to the overall development of the logistics industry.
