Training Institutional Members of VALOMA
With the aim of gathering individuals and organizations sharing the same goals of developing Vietnam’s logistics sector, the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development has built a nationwide membership network step by step, and organized many valuable activities as well as created connections between members.
On the date of establishment on April 30, 2021, according to the Decision No. 568/QD-BNV of the Minister of Home Affairs, VALOMA attracted 89 new members, of which 17 members are logistics training institutions. The year 2021 was a turbulent year due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which makes the Association’s deployment activities more difficult. However, by 2021, the number of members rose significantly, compared to the data of the year 2020, from 89 to 209 members, including 28 institutional members.
By the end of June 2022, the Association has added 92 new members, and the total has increased to 301 members, including 38 training institutions (accounting for 12% of the total). These figures have clearly demonstrated the influence and spread of the Association to training institutions across the country
.
If divided according to geographical area, VALOMA’s institutional members are distributed in all three regions of Vietnam, with the high concentration in the Northern and Southern parts. The Northern region has 17 members who are training institutions, accounting for 45% of the total; there are 19 institutions in Southern Vietnam, making up 50% of the total, and only 2 in the Central part, taking 5% of the total. Those numbers will definitely go up rapidly in the near future along with the strong development of the logistics field, especially the logistics human resource training in Vietnam.
